Alan Greer picked up his first instrument at the age of 5 years and has played guitar, keyboard and piano ever since. His main musical influences are Midge Ure, Pink Floyd and Jean Michel Jarre. Alan has two main vocational passions in life which are music and anything involving an electrical current. He currently runs an electronic repair company and holds an HND in electronics.
He first played bass guitar at the age of 17 in a band called “55 Days Down a Well”, and also in a band called “A Touch of Klass” playing venues all over Glasgow. He embarked on a solo career in 2000 and released two singles locally in his hometown of Clydebank. Alan’s first release of Who Has To Pay? sold over 800 copies. Alan’s gregarious personality transformed him from solo artist to band member once again as he played keyboard in Spotty Dogg writing and producing alongside Jamie Fraser.
The inspiration for the Stardust Project came from family & friends who passed with cancer and wanted to give something back.
Alan is a self-confessed perfectionist and pushes others to perform at their best. He is currently enjoying music production, writing and video editing.
